島田 茂 shigeru shimada
1974年生まれ。東京芸術大学美術学部工芸科卒。フレームドラム奏者兼製作者。
国内外に向け、Riq「レク」(アラブタンバリン)やDof「ドフ」(フレームドラム)を製作している。
ブラジル音楽のpercussionistを経て、現在はアラブ音楽やオリジナル曲のライブ演奏やフレームドラムのワークショップなどで活動。

Born in 1974. He graduated from the Department of Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. He is a frame drum player and maker.
He manufacture Riq (Arab tambourines),Dof (Frame drums) for domestic and international markets.
After working as a percussionist for Brazilian music, he currently performs live performances of Arabic music and original songs, and holds frame drum workshops.
